Hi,
I've been using a dv6tqe 6100 for the past two months now, and it's starting to show some erratic behavior now. I did a minimal install the day I got it and have kept most of the drivers up-to-date.
The problem is driver/software related I guess; at some times (especially when the computer gets under heavy load) windows explorer just seems to get stuck.. all applications work pretty much the same way. Task manager doesn't open, and the system resources seem restricted, the hardware fan works at full speed during this time. If I overlook the problem enough it'll eventually cause a BSoD (driver error) and no matter what I do, a restart will fix it.
Another little annoyance is the fact that windows media player takes ages to load up for the first time and gets unresponsive, but I guess that's something else entirely.
I recently upped the GPU drivers to CCC 11.09 on top of the HP latest ones, this has slightly increased this behavior but it definitely existed before the driver update.. I also updated the Intel WLAN drivers..
My system specs are:
Intel Core i7 2630QM + 1 GB AMD Radeon 6770M + 6GB DDR3 RAM + 750GB 7200rpm HDD + 1080p screen + all other stuff the dv6tqe has..
Thanks alot for your responses...
