I notice sometimes when I'm browsing and I try to click on a link, it will go back to the last link it visited as if the mouse had never moved. This only happens with the trackpad (using an external mouse it doesn't occur).

Anyone else experience this behavior (especially after hitting the Back button)?

Also, despite having it checked in the Mouse options, my trackpad still stays active even if I plug in an external pointing device.

    Hi Solid Sonic TH,

I do not see any support from the community at this time, so I am going to suggest that
you contact HP Tech support 800 474 6836 for phone diagnostics to check
    out the track pad settings.

    Cheers,
    Cheron

I don't understand what you mean when you say you "click on a link, it will go back to the last link it visited as if the mouse had never moved." I have used multiple browsers (Edge, IE, Firefox, Chrome) and I've never had a problem clicking on links. Taps or physically clicking, it all works fine.

My Spectre x360 is a Broadwell model, I did the upgrade from Win8.1 to Win10 and then did a clean Win10 install with my own Samsung 850 EVO. Win10 automatically downloaded and installed all necessary drivers, including the touchpad driver. It is v19.0.12.98 and with the "disable internal pointing device when USB mouse is attached" option checked, it does correctly shut off the touchpad when I plug in a USB mouse, and the touchpad turns back on when I take out the USB mouse.

You don't specify which Spectre x360 model or which Windows you're using, so I got a little specific with my touchpad experience.
