Since from last several days this notebook is doing weired things... Whenever notebook turns on from a Hibernation nothing works especially sound card. Also system stops responding for few minutes. In addition to that sometimes DVD drive doesn't read any CDs or DVDs. So I don't understand whats wrong with this notebook?

Anybody ran across this problem? if someone did then please help

I hope you are right but I have desktop and another laptop Compaq R3000T they both work perfectly fine. also when I got this laptop about 3 weeks ago everything was working like a charm but now its getting very annoying. So I don't know what should I do any suggestion?

    rahulk,

First thing to do to would be Run a system restore to verify you don't have a hardware problem. (If you are within your "return" window and time is running out -)

Standard return window if purchased thru HP is only 21 days.
(7/14 ? in Asia market according to one poster in Asia!)

If it still does it after the restore, return the unit ASAP and consider your options.

PS: A few vendors offer a 180-day return window.
