This static read-only archive was pulled by NBR forum users between January 20 and January 31, 2022, in an effort to make sure that the valuable technical information that had been posted on the forums is preserved.     Compaq Presario R3320us - P4 hyperthreading 3.0GHZ, DVDRW, wireless, 60GB 512 RAM, 15.4 in screen with brightview for $999

    or
    HP Pavilion dv1010us - Celeron M processor 1.5GHZ, DVDRW, wireless, 60GB, 512 RAM, 14in widescreen for $899

    -im looking for something with good dvd/cd buring performace, good dvd quality, fast overall for web surfing, apps, and better overall machine for the money. thanks for the help

    You can also get either AMD XPM or AMD 64 in that price range or for a little bit more. Better battery life and slightly cooler as well.
