Can anyone who has a new HP laptop that shipped with Win7 let us know what crapware the system is shipped with? How does this list compare to a Vista HP laptop?
Thanks

It's the same stuff. All the bloatware that works on Vista works on 7 too, just like pretty much every program.

Bloatware slows down your machine...doesn't take a scientific study to find that one out.
-
programs that are not started loaded do nothing to your machine.

I saw a post at Arstechnica that you can now order crapware free PCs directly from Microsoft. Looking at the Microsoft store I see that the DM3 is available. What are the chances of a clean DV8?
What are the chances that -
At least one person at http://forum.notebookreview.com/showthread.php?t=426674&page=22 claimed that the crapware does slow the laptops down.

I was referring to newsposter's quote that seemed to indicate that the crapware does not start be default. I don't think I agree.

He's not saying that all bloatware doesn't run at bootup. He's saying that some bloatware doesn't start at bootup, and these programs do not affect the computer, which is true.
