I was going to get the 3 year extended warranty with accidental coverage for the dv1000. When reading the fine print, I got confused as to exactly what was covered after the initial 1 year warranty so I called HP shopping. They couldn't figure it out so transferred me to tech support who told me that the battery, motherboard and screen ARE NOT covered after the first year. I couldn't believe that and, if true, then what use is the extended warranty. Anyone have any experience with needing something replaced under the extended warranty? I have always had Dells and their warranty covers everything including no limit on replacing parts. Thanks.
