OK im sure this is in the 300 page thread or already been asked a 100 times but im i been looking at computers all day and came to these choices thanks to this forum.

    HP Pavilion dv6-6140us

    HP Pavilion dv7-6165us

    HP Pavilion dv6-6110us

Recertified: HP Pavilion dv6-6135DX Im leaning towards this.

I have seen all this talk about how good the dv6s are but not sure what one it is. Are any of these the dv6s that are getting the praise, or what one is the best?

I think the dv6-6135 and the dv7-6165 are the only ones with a discrete 6750 graphic card, the others only have the amd apu.
You should also check on Hp's website :since today/yesterday you can also build one to order with the 6750 graphic card

No. The 6750m will be ~15-20% slower than the 6770m. But both the 6770m and 6750m can be overclocked for better performance.

No. Don't bother with the 12 GB of RAM, instead get the Quad edition with the 1GB 6770 and the 1080p screen.

ok then should i get the i7 2670 and the 2GB 6770 or the i7 2720 and 1GB 6770. Getting just 8GB ram is a good idea i can always add it for cheaper. Why the 1GB 6770 and not the 2GB?

The 2gb makes no difference, the 6770M isn't fast enough to utilize the extra memory.

I would get the 2670 unless you absolutely need the extra features of the 2720 (vPro, VT-d, TXT). You probably don't, they're more for a professional computing environment.
