    I think this one is a bigger deal
    Newegg.com - Crucial M4 CT256M4SSD2CCA 2.5" 256GB SATA III MLC Internal Solid State Drive (SSD) with Transfer Kit

    I currently own the M4 128GB version.
    It's a bit cheaper than the samsung but its WAY faster (double)
    I know you want see a speed difference thanks to the sata II controller in the envy 1xxx lineup, but nobody says you cannot use it in a later notebook or desktop. Since it's the same price, I think it's rather clear.
    Marvell controlers are also known for there reliability (that's why I don't mention Vertex or other sandforce equipped models)

    Either than M4 or a 240GB agility or vertex 2....Samsung is a poor choice IMO.

    Go Crucial or the Samsung.

    I wouldn't recommend OCZ.
