    hi all...first of all iam new to this forum. i thot its like all the other forums that i never join and just read through... but i was really impressed by the knowledge and active participation of all its members....so iam now here as a member too... ;-)

    i bought my DV2197ea 2 weeks back from abu dhabi. it costed me usd:1,497..
    with core 2 duo at 2ghz
    2gb ram
    and 128 nvidia 7200 Graphics card
    i also got some free gifts too that are
    1. Labtech wireless notebook optical mouse
    2. hp 3600 printer
    3. 1gb thumb drive from TwinMOS
    4. norton internet security one year free subscription

    do u ppl think it was a good buy?? plz let me know ur opinion...

    Doesn't sound too bad to me. I got my machine for $1800USD, so with the extras and the lower graphics and processor power, it sounds just about right.
