I tried an DV6 v3 , the fan was really noisy, might just have been mine, also the battery charging led and hdd activity indicator is on the right hand side next to the power socket, seem stupid to me, but good things are great screen, and good sound, aslo mine had an 500gb 7200rpm wd scorpio black hdd :)

I personalty much preferred the DV6 V2 style to the V3

If you don't play games, you don't need the ATI 5650. It's just a huge waste. Even the integrated Intel GMA HD plays 1080p video flawlessly.

Apart from the horrific spelling and odly placed capital letters, he does have a point, new games can run just fine at max settings (35fps stock / 40 overclocked.)

Hey jdjawad, thanks for the reply.

Can u tell me one thing.. i have heard we cannot switch between the dedicated GPU and intel graphics manually..its like, we have to plugin or unplug the laptop's AC adapter, if we have to switch between the gpu's..
I saw a vdo on youtube where this guy was complaining about it.. he tried alot to switch the dedicated gpu to intel one.. but he couldnt.. as it was not responding.. and then when he unpluged the laptop.. it automatically asked to switch it from dedicated gpu to intel and vice versa..

Is it like that with you too???????

i have been using this laptop from last 6 months .. its a great laptop and it can play all new games in high graphics .....

you can easily switch your graphics processor to ati 5650 and vice vera ...
this is done by right clicking on dekstop and choose ''configure switchable graphics'' and then choose which one you want ..
power saving GPU or high performance ..

POWER SAVING GPU - it is intel hd graphics .. if you keep your laptop in this GPU the fan wont make any noise and your laptop wont heat up that easily ...

HIGH PERFORMANCE - it is ati radeon 5650 .It is recommended that you should only switch to this graphics processor only before playing games .. otherwise you laptop would heat up very fast and the fan will be noisy..
