    Today is the last business day before my estimated ship date and my order status is still "order in production". what comes next, I hope they don't have anything on a long back order.

    Anyone? does it go form order in production straight to shipped, or does hp have a boxing stage like dell?

    Direct to shipment. HP provides fedex tracking direct from China unlike Dell who mask it in the form of 'boxing' stage.
