    What are the lines on my screen.

    Hi there I have a hp pavilion which has come up with lines on my screen, I don't know what it could be. The screen starts as light grey in colour, then the black horizontal lines appear which eventually turns the screen in to a dark grey with one blue vertical line.

    It's a hp pavilion dv 2000 artist edition.

    Can any one suggest what could be wrong.
