Hi,
When ordering from the HP (UK) website it gives no information about what battery is supplied.
It offers me 6 and 12 cell batteries to buy seperately at quite a price so does this mean it comes with a 4 cell?
What did yours come with? And for any 2500 owners: What's the battery life like? (With dedicated GPU)

The default battery is the 6 cell ~44Whr battery. The 12 cell and the extended 6 cell(offered in the U.S, dont know if its available in the U.K) are optional. HP does not sell 4 cell batteries on the 'dv' series consumer notebooks.

I always buy two batteries, for all my electronic devices. The HP's are hard on batteries. I would recommend the biggest battery you are willing to carry around. I have the 6 and the 12 for my dv6000t and that has been a good combo for my, 6 cell for quick tasks, and 12 cell for watching movies. I use both to get through long flights, etc.

Thanks for the replies. Is there a difference between the extra 6 cell available to purchase and the 6 cell that the HP comes with?
The 12 cell is pushing what I am prepared to pay for a battery really, it's about £100. ($200)
mallmand, what sort of life do you get on your 6 cell? -
There is no difference between the stock 6 and the extra 6 unless it is labled "Extended 6 cell" I have heard of extended 6 cells that are to have better battery life then the standard, but it was never an option when I configured mine.

also remember that the 12 cell battery will angle your laptop a bit.

The angle makes it easier to type though.

It should be a 6 cell
What battery?
