I read somewhere that dv6700t is a "hot" notebook for using on your lap. So I was looking for a good cooler. Some reviews mention air intake or exhaust being underneath notebook make a difference while choosing the proper cooler for it. I dont know whats with dv6700t as its still in production for me. Could you please tell what is a good cooler for this series notebooks or if you have one of these, where it has any air-exhaust or intake underneath the notebook. I was thinking of getting Zalman brand cooler....

I wouldn't bother with a cooler until you have the laptop and see how hot it really is. If you use it on your lap, I recommend a lap desk so the vents don't get blocked. I use a cheap Targus folding lap desk for my dv9700t CTO and don't have any cooling issues. I've been using this desk since I purchased a zv6005us back in 2005.

I have a dv6500t, which is basically the same thing minus a few minor details and a bit of video memory on the GPU.

Unless you plan on playing Unreal Tournament 3 on your lap, it doesn't get very warm at all. It does get warm, but certainly not to the point of being uncomfortable. You'll certainly be able to sit through a movie with it on your lap. Not like my MacBook, which gets hot enough to make me worry about my fertility after half an hour of web browsing.
