Hi all, someone will be getting a new dv6500T soon for Me there in states and I wanted him to check the condition of the laptop before the 21 (or 12??) days return/replacement policy ends. The person doesn't know much about computers, and I want to instruct him what are the things to look at so if in case there some problem we can still return it to HP for replacement. So what are the things should I tell him to look at??

    1. Dead pixel on LCD (can someone describe what's a dead pixel?)
    2. Dent
    3 ... what else??

A dead pixel is a defective pixel that remains unlit(it will show up as a dark spot/black pixel).
Use Dead Pixel Buddy to search for them.
Also look at the Dead Pixels on Notebook Screens
