Recently my dv6000t decided to display two solid lines across the screen. It's a similar problem that night_2004 is experiencing, except I have two of those fugly lines. I currently don't have warranty except for the limited 1 year warranty that comes with the laptop. I'm not sure what it covers though. According to HP's Warranty Agreement, it doesn't say anything about labor costs, shipping coverage, and etc. I was wondering if any of you have had experience with HP's Limited Warranty or just additional information in general. If they do not cover shipping or labor costs, it's probably smarter to buy a 3-Year Care Package and have my notebook serviced at home the next day, correct? Well let me know what you guys think. Thanks in advance.

Well, I've got a problem with a small area of pixels (30x30 square)...but yeah I've got to go through the same repair that you do.
Anyway:
1) They pay for labor and parts.
2) You might have to pay for shipping, but I doubt it.
3) That 3Yr is only good if you really plan on keeping the notebook. -
Thanks for pointing that out. I was wondering, how much was the 3YR On-site Warranty?

What does HP's Limited Warranty Exactly Cover?
