Does someone know why HP doesn't offer the Ultra Bright screen as an option in their order web-site?

They stopped offering for no reason.

I can only guess theres an underlying issue with it. There hasnt been complaints or mass problems so far

Or since updates to their notebook lineup is expected in June they might just be winding down on production for the current lienup. Expect other options to vanish as the refresh gets closer and closer.

Ofcourse this is just speculation but they might have remoevd it for other reasons as well. I dont think its due to any issues with the screen itself sicne they have been offering that option for a while now.

Could they be any crueler? Just 10 days after I ordered my notebook, they decided to put the ultrabright option back... Can I do something at this point? Is it worth it? Does the ultrabright option provide such a big difference?

I wouldnt say a whopping difference, apparently it weights alot from what i read in the reviews. Read the NBR reviews about it

You might be able to modify your order depending on which stage its already in.

i think that ultra bright will be applied in all HP notebooks in the future :D
or that they are switching to LEDs so that ultra bright thingy wont be needed :D
