I dont know if you guys remember this but there was once a legendary machine known as the HP HDX 20. It had a 20 inch screen on it and looks absolutely brilliant. I have been trying to find that bad boy for many years now to no avail. it's something I always wanted to have in my laptop collection :-(

Any idea what happened to it?

18 inch notebooks aren't big enough for you?

Lol its not that, it's just that it's a fine concept in my eyes. I guess I am being a bit crazy here but i'm okay with it. My insanity keeps me going :D

I remember the HDX 20. It was pretty big. As I recall, it was retired after one or two generations. Apparently not that many people bought it. My guess is the 20" screen proved impractical for too many people. I think Acer may have also had a 20" laptop for a short time. The local MicroCenter had one of the two models in stock for awhile, but I can't remember anymore if it was the HDX or the Acer. The only modern laptop I've heard of that was larger was a custom 24" one that an NBR member built a few years back, but that was a one-of-a-kind with two server CPUs in it, and not for sale.

It looks like there's one on eBay right now that you could snap up to own one quickly: HP HDX 9200 Dragon Gaming Laptop in Working Order Core2 Extreme 20" Screen | eBay It even comes with Windows Vista Ultimate and a Core 2 Extreme!

That thing was awesome when it came out. 8-10 years ago, you still had to pay decent money if you wanted a really top end media notebook that could play movies easily in high definition and push decent audio.
