    Seems like they haven't been as prevalent as they once were. Even Dell hasn't had a 20% or 25% off laptop discount in awhile. What happened?

    The discounts come and go, but it's on HPs schedule, not yours.

    patience Grasshopper, new models are weeks away. Discounts (and sales at retail stores) should follow 2-3 months after that.
