HP initially sent me a defective dv5t, so after some hassle, they sent me a new one with the understanding that I'll send the old one back to them. What happens if I don't, other than going to hell?

Not sure how that works in the US, but you'd likely be warned and then sued by HP here in Europe.

Wow, Thanks, your the reason the rest of us get crap when we call HP for help!!! Return it as agreed.

Some people.Enough people do this to them (and I'm pretty sure they will still get it or the $$ equivalent out of you), they will no longer send advanced-placement units.

i spoke to my case manager today and she said they were about to send a letter if I didn't send it back soon. I was thinking 'hey, i was about to send YOU a letter if you didnt call me back soon!'

Just send the computer back as agreed. You will get charged for a new one and/or will ruin your credit. It's called stealing and fraud on your part.

i returned it. just asking, you never know sometimes. apparently, they don't even care if you include the battery and ac adapter, they told me i could keep them.

Once they didnt realise i sent my laptop back and i got a letter saying more a less " Hey we agreed for you to send this in now send it in before we take action " I just called them up and sorted things out and all was good

I returned a defective laptop once and told me not to send the accessories. I got a new laptop with accessories back. They told me it was for my trouble. Now I have extras that I can leave one at home and one for trips.
What happens if I don't return defective PC?
