    So i have dv6-6077 with single hdd, do i this intel rapid software?

    Intel Rapid Storage Technology (IRST) is an alternative to windows AHCI/RAID driver for your chipset. I wouldn't bother with it if you have HDD. It's important when you install an SSD cause it improves performance in some cases.
