Hi,
I'm going to buy a second hand HP 8710w but would like to know what it comes with included in hte box so I can make sure the guy I'm buying it from is giving me everything. For example, AC adapter, software cd's, warranty certificate, etc. I'm buying the 8710w with the Intel T7700 processor and Windows Vista.
Also, does it come with a Vista CD/DVD in case I decide to format the HDD. And also, does it come with a Win XP installation CD in case I decide to install windows XP?
Thanks!

When you buy a laptop, you get the laptop, manual, warranty stuffs, ac power adaptor, and driver/installation discs.
If your system was ordered with Windows Vista, then you are going to get a copy of Hp's version of Windows Vista.
You will not get XP if your system is coming with Vista.
If you want to switch back to Xp, than you can either use a disc you already have, or you are going to have to buy a copy of xp from microsoft, for about $140.

I have an old HP nx6125 with a broken screen that's not being used anymore lying around. Can I use that licence to install windows XP Home Edition onto the 8710w? And roughly how much will it cost to upgrade from XP home edition to XP Pro?

Just a note that not all machines come with installation disks. Mine certainly did not. However, it gives you the option to create your own recovery disks once (either burn directly, or make ISO files).
So if this one doesn't come with disks, I'd ask if he used that option or not.
What is bundled with a new HP 8710w
