    What is normal idle temp dv7-6bxxxx...I7

    With coolsense on quiet mode I get around 56-59 degrees and 49-55 on coolest mode. I am wondering if these are normal temps? In performance mode the fan does not shut off at all. What are normal idle temps for a laptop...


    Am I nitpicking?

    With just general internet surfing mine is around 37C.

    It is brand new. I swiitched to integrated graphics and on quiet mode cooling it is at 45 degrees. It does get below 40 now on cool mode. It is loud though. My lenovo is on average 65 or 70 so I was not worried until I saw people saying 35 is normal. I have also read that when they are new they take some time to "settle in" if that makes sense.

    Ya, something is definitely heating things up. Mine is at 38C now and I can barely feel the fan blowing air or hear it. Just normal message board surfing. Both settings in Coolsense are on Performance Optimized. I wonder if the ATI GPU is on. I have a temp gauge turned on from a program called Speed Fan. Both GPU temps are at 0c.
