I would like to know what the latest bios version there is out there for dv6000t. I read some people have F16, others possibly have F17 and just read abt a F20?
if so wat are the benefits or changes in each version ?

Mine came with F.17, it seemed to have a higher threshold for turning the fan on. But I'd rather it was on more and kept the machine cooler, so I rolled back to F.16. You may want to try it, though I feel there may be a reason it wasn't a public release.

so far they have been making bios updates to solve the whining noise issue and to help control the fans and temps. F16 added support for the celeron M which isnt much use if you already have a better CPU and ur not gonna do a DIY up/downgrade

latest for all the dv 2.6.9 series of intel is the F.16

My laptop is on F.16 with rmclock undervolting the core 2 duo between 0.950 and 0.978 volts. I am currently watching a dvd, on aim, doing word processing and typing this and it is stable at 26C, so I'm pretty happy with this BIOS.
