My concerns would be:
1. 1366x768 screen. The 1080p screen is SO much better.
2. Intel HD 3000 graphics. The ATI 6770m graphics are a huge improvement.
3. 5400rpm hard drive. I got mine with the 7200rpm and it makes the system much snappier. Unfortunately there is a shortage of 7200prm drives right now due to the floods.
Also this thread belongs in the Pavilion board. -
Thanks...The Pavilion board would make sense.

I recently built a Pavilion DV6TQE. I am just trolling here because I am envious of the new Envy 15.
-
Now there's something for the Envy 15 buyers to be envious over the Pavilion 15" model! -

Point of interest here:
The 1080p screen offered in the new Pavilion builds is indeed superior in every way, when compared to the 1366x768. However, there is no reason to worry about or mess with it if it is a question of getting it just to be getting it, IMO. I mean - if all you are going to do is surf, watch an occassional video or perform other mundane tasks, then the 720p screen is just fine and plenty bright. On the other hand, if you are going to be gaming or plan on needing the extra screen space, then perhaps the better resolution might be a better investment. Just make the determination based on actual needs.
The 5400rpm HDD versus a 7200rpm model is purely a matter of opinion. True that you do see marginal performance increases with the faster drive, however it does come at the cost of throwing that much more heat at the notebook. So weigh that into your decision. Better yet - just find yourself a reliable SATA3 SSD. Much cooler and far better performing, in the end, than any existing HDD. Both you and your new Pavilion will be better off.
Other than that, the specs are pretty standard and respectable, for a quad-core model. I am not sure what anyone wants to see or hear when these sort of questions pop-up on the board. Either they know very little about what they are buying or they just need an encouraging "nudge" and perhaps a slap on the rear to just make the damn purchase. If any new buyer truely wants answers, then all that need be done is simply read what hundreds of others have already written here already. You are ready to lay down the $$$ and have picked out a potential investment. That's good. You've even taken the time to register here and found your way to this sub-forum. Don't get lazy now. Do the rest of the homework and make the right call based upon what you want and how it will fit into your personal needs.
