    What memory type does dv9000t use ddr2 533mhz or ddr2 667mhz?

Yes it will work. Both 533 and 667 MHz memory will work with the dv9000t. If you are in the states, you can probably get a much better deal on newegg.com .
PC53/5400 and PC43/4200 DDR2 will work in that model. Get whichever is cheaper as they perform similarly. 667 MHz memory is faster but has higher latencies. 533MHz is slower but has lower latencies. Either will be fine for your purposes.

    Cheers

Do you happen to know what comes stock on a CTO if I chose to go with 1 GB

and for the deals at newegg are you reffering to memory modules because if you are then how does one know which modules will be compatible and which will not?

I don't happen to know what will come stock..It does say that you will get two DIMMS though, so you will have 2x512 if you order 1GB, 2x1GB if you order 2GB and 2x256 if you order 512. Keep that in mind when you order. If you want to upgrade you will have to basically 'waste' at least one of the chips.

As I stated earlier that RAM chip you mentioned will work, as will any PC5300 or PC5400, PC4300 or PC4200 200 pin SODIMM/memory module. It's easy to replace aftermarket, cheaper and does not void the warranty.

I know that HP uses 667Mhz memory in all x000t machines with a Core 2 Duo processor, but I don't know if they've decided to go ahead and use it in systems with Core Duo and Celeron processors yet.
