Occasionally the screen on my nx7010 will flicker and I can usually fix it by gently pressing the black plastic overlay bit on the bottom left hand side of the screen. I once removed this plastic and noticed the wire under there was pinched and unpinching it solved the problem for a while. The flickering is now getting worse and I'm assuming I have to change that wire but I don't know what it's called or where to look for it. Can anyone let me know what I should be buying?
Thanks.

pics would help. Is this a single wire or a flat multi-wire cable?
The service manuals for many HP machines are available via google. -

Maintenance and Service Guide, it has pictures
Looking at your picture, it is the inverter cable. However it is not mentioned in the service guide, possibly it is included with the inverter itself (but that mentions only having the 4 screws included, nothing about the cable!).
Inverter is the green board where the cable is attached in that picture. If the cable has no part number, try searching with the inverter boards number insteadd. -
Thanks for that. I'm still trying to sort this out. Did search for inverter board part number and there are no mentions of cables anywhere. However after googling around I did find this:

Do you think that's what I need?
Thanks again. -
Picture on the website is quite bad, but it looks like LCD and Inverter Cable are actually combined?
-
I can zoom in on the picture but I'm still not sure if that is the inverter attached to the top. I guess I'll just have to take a shot and order it.

on the top is motherboard connector, right hand side is the LCD connector itself and in the middle the white connector appears to be same as in your own photo, connecting to the inverter.
What part do I need to fix the screen on my nx7010?
