Can anyone who has a dv9700t with a t8100 or better processor (because of penryn motherboard), tell me what realtek HD audio chipset it is using. The realtek utility (in control panel) will display the chipset in the about box (the I icon). It will be something like the following alc268, alcC662, alc888 etc.

    Update.
Spent 4 hours on the phone with them. No one knew. Went to the store and all the hp’s had only 2 channel high definition output with the ALC268 chip but the ones I were looking at were the t7100 and below. I don’t think they want you to know that all their laptops except the 20 inch hdx have only 2 channel HD. No 5.1 or 7.1 support. Hoping someone can confirm the chipset in the t8100s and up.
