This static read-only archive was pulled by NBR forum users between January 20 and January 31, 2022, in an effort to make sure that the valuable technical information that had been posted on the forums is preserved. For current discussions, many NBR forum users moved over to NotebookTalk.net after the shutdown.

    I should be receiving the nc8430 in a few days and have been reading some good posts about setting up the PC for the first time.

    XP install guide

    Here is what I planned on doing:
    1 - create the recovery DVD's
    2 - wipe out the drive and recovery partition
    3 - create 2 partitions
    a - OS XP pro (30GB)
    b - Data (70GB)

    Thoughts? Advice?
