I'm working on a master's thesis, and started having problems with my evo n800c. So, I bought a new v5000z, but am unsure of what to do with the old comp. I had it for almost 3.5 years, and used it on the go A LOT. Its never been 'beat' on, but its seen a lot of wear and tear in that time.

Occasionally, the dvd rom won't read dvds, but most recently the machine was just dying. It was like power was lost. I assume its a mobo problem, but don't really know. It has a p4 1.7 in it, 256mb ram, dvd with cd/rw, and all the typical features found long ago. I also have a spare set of hinges (I think one of the old ones needs replacing or retightening) and the docking station for it ($150 by itself back in the day). I also removed the hd, as I had just put in a new seagate about a year ago.

I hate to pitch it, but I don't know if I can really sell it because of the condition. I just thought I'd see what you guys thought I should do. If I CAN get some money for that, that'd be great (poor college student and all).

As noted, old or broken laptops are sold on ebay every day. Some like to fix them.

If you don't expect/want anything physical from it, just donate it to a good cause or recycle it. :)

Sold it on ebay, I sold my n600c on ebay for $450 3 months ago. My gf sold her Toshiba P4 2.8GHZ for $560 yerterday. People may actually think P4 2.8 is faster than PM2.0 :D
