It's listed as an 802.11a/b/g/n wireless, so it's either a Broadcom or Intel PROSet Wireless AGN. The link below will take you to the Support Page for your system:

    HP G60-230US Notebook PC

Select your OS, then Click on Software and Driver Downloads to access the Drivers. However, since there are two possible types of wireless cards, you either need to look it up on your system, or just use the HP Update utility on your system to update your drivers.

To look up and find out which Wireless you've got, open your Device Manager (Control Panel, Device Manager), click on the + next to Network Adapters, then view which Wireless Adapter you have. It'll either say Intel PROSet or Broadcom Wireless.

To use the HP Update Utility:

    1. Click on Start, All Programs.
    2. Navigate to the HP Folder, click to open.
    3. Click on HP Update and let it run.

HP Update will search the HP site for any updated drivers and install them automatically. Same goes for any HP installed software. Note: To update QuickPlay to the most current version, you must do it with the QuickPlay Update utility within QuickPlay. Open QP, then click on the DVD icon. Click on the "gear" icon in the upper right corner - this opens the Update link. Click on Update and QP will update to the latest version, which right now is 3.7.

I guess I'm at a loss as to why you're even looking for it the wireless drivers - all you need to do is uninstall it and restart your system to reload the original (Windows will automatically reinstall the driver) or you can reinstall it with the HP Recovery Manager (HP Recovery Manager allows you to do specific driver recovery installs from the Recovery Partition on your drive).

If you ever need to find the Support Page for your system configuration, get the Product # from the label under your system (usually on the left side) then go to this link and enter it in the field and hit the Enter key: HP Online Support

HP usually lists the Intel ones as being Intel wifi and ofcourse will have the Centrino label on the laptop. If it is listed as 802.11abgn then it could either be the Broadcom (most likely) or the Atheros wifi card.

But as Cyvervision mentioned looking it up in the Device Manager if you have the driver installed should let you know about the brand of the wifi card.

HP has been using a lot Atheros stuff lately too.
