    If by better, you mean more powerful, sure, the i5 would be more powerful than the A8. However, that particular laptop has a garbage 768p display and I personally wouldn't even gift it to my enemies, let alone use it myself.

    As for prices, it depends. Retail stores usually have sales here and there, but you can almost always find better prices online and through the OEM's website (even before any haggling).
