I'm currently stuck between two same priced models where one is higher on disk size and RAM while the other got a better gfx card. I went to ask about the graphics in the graphics card section and they directed me to this section so guys I need your help!
Here is my posts in the other section so you get a more detailed idea of what I have:

brianstretch Notebook Virtuoso
Dedicated is all that matters. I'd pick based on whether you'd prefer a lighter 14" laptop or a larger screen. RAM is trivial to upgrade and either HD is probably plenty for you.
-
same as what he said. dedicated is all that matters as far as games go and the shared makes no visible difference. shared VRAM is a marketing gimmick
-
those are 2.50 core 2 duo,so thats kinda expensive isnt it cause there so fast and all you get with that is a 8400 gs card? why not get a better card but with lower cpu like 2.10 or wotever.

Get the better GFX, you can always upgrade the HDD and RAM, not the GFX.
-
how can u upgrade the HDD and does it not void the warranty?
-
havn a better card couldnt hurt lol.
-
So if you are going to need a better graphic card go for it, if price is not a factor. -

Is it just me, or does the dv2XXX laptop say 320 GB of HDD space, with it being 2 x 160 GB?
Since when did 14.1" notebooks have 2 hard drives? -
ip yes its 2x160. What are the disadvantages of this?
-
Looks like a typo. It either has 1X320GB HDD or 1X160GB HDD. The dv2xxx notebooks were never designed and so dont have space/slots for dual HDD's. The only ones which have dual HDD in HP's line up are the 17" dv9xxx series and the 20" HDX.

miner it aint a typo check it here

says Hard Drive 320 GB (2 x 160 GB) (5400)
again wat are the disavantages of this? -
All you need to do to access the HDD is remove two screws
EDIT: oops didnt see the second pagemy bad

I have the dv2500 and I promise you that as Miner is saying, that is in fact a typo. Odds are it has a single 320GB drive. No chance in hell it has two separate hard drives.
As far as the two laptops are concerned, you do realize one of them is 14in and the other is 15.4in? That should be the focal point of your decision.
As far as memory and hard drives are concerned, you can upgrade both. I haven't looked at the specifications, but as long as they have 2GB of memory, and I don't see how they wouldn't, then you should be fine. If at some point you want to upgrade to 3GB, then just throw in a 2GB module. As far as the hard drives are concerned, again, I don't know the sizes, but from the comments it sounds like one probably has 250GB and the other has 320GB. Here is a question, how much space are you using on your current hard drive? Go from there. As others have stated, both of these you can upgrade, while the video card you cannot. I would heed their advice and, if a decision must be made between these factors, I would take the one with the dedicated video card.
What would you do if you were in my place?
