    Hi all,

I'm looking at selling my beloved HP Pavilion dv9009nr but not sure what it is worth. Physically, it's in excellent condition. No scratches or dents of any sort. Two hard drives (320 & 80), 2GB RAM, AMD 64 X2 1.62 GHz, 17" widescreen.

    Any feedback is greatly appreciated.

    S.

eBay is a great resource when trying to gauge the market value of a notebook.

We also have a section for that here: Want to Buy/Price Check Forum

No worries. I honestly don't know what a DV9000 is worth these days. So I figured I'd at least offer where one could find out. :)

    BTW, is the graphics Nvidia?

Here's the equation for determining the worth of a used laptop:

current year (2010) - year laptop was purchased = years old (y)
    price of laptop when purchased * 20-23%% = (I)
    y * I = deduced value over time (d)
price of laptop when purchased - d = current estimated worth (give or take)

(The above equation was created by me on very little sleep. I compared a few different laptops by age and used the current selling prices to generate the above algorithm.)

P.S. If your laptop's worth should go negative (LOL), then your laptop is probably selling at less than a hundred dollars.

Also, pricing can be off based upon the technological development of the various computer components.
