My friend who fried my laptop is gonna give me some cash for it, so I'm wondering what the market value for my machine would be, if it were working. Specs:
    HP ZV5000
    15.4" WXGA (1280x800) Glossy
    Athlon 64 3200+
    1 GB RAM (2x512 DDR333)
    GeForce4 440Go 64MB
    80GB HDD (4200 RPM)
    6x DVD+/-RW burner
    5-1 media card reader
    Standard + high capacity batteries
Everything worked - speakers, ports, screen flawless

Ebay had models with lesser specs ranging from 400-800. I was hoping around $600 for mine?

Dang... that sucks! That looks like it was a god laptop...

Hmm... I think you're in the right range... $500-$600 would be my best bet.

When did you purchase it and how much was it when you got it?

Yeah it was my faithful companion for almost 2 years until it met its end St. Patty's Day at the hands of a drunken friend with a bottle of water. It was purchased 2 years ago at the end of April, not sure what the price was then.

$600 would be a blessing. Give it to him for $500 to erase any future guilt when you get a new one that's twice as good for only $750.

@ dagmer34: how were you able to add 512MB of RAM and select Vista Premium? I tried it just now and it says I need to pick 1GB RAM for Vista Premium...
