Can someone please tell me what's the model of the intel wireless card that's used in the Dv6tqe laptops? Is there a difference between the standalone card and the one with bluetooth? What I mean is for the dell XPS, there's the standalone intel wireless N 1000 card and then there's the intel advanced 6230 N card with the bluetooth adapter option.
Thanks in advance.

All Intel CTO models, ie 6x00 are issued with Intel Wifi 1000 BGN. If ordered with bluetooth, it would Intel Wifi 1000 BGN + Broadcom BCM2070.
However, not all retail models have that configuration, they may have a Ralink or a Broadcom Wireless instead. Also, may have a different Bluetooth module as well. -

Intel WiFi Link 1000 BGN (1x2) is trash.
Intel Centrino 6200 (ABGN 2x2) is much better. -

Actually, compared against directly 1000 vs 6200. The 6200 is much better than the 1000.
However, it utilization is pretty limited to those who have access and frequently uses it
or lives in a congested wireless area.
Dual band routers have been out for a few years now. -
Both the 1000 series and the 6200 series comes with 2 antenna right? So there's no really benefit unless I had a 5ghz connection? It seems like people are able to whiteless the bios so I can always switch over to a 6200 should I ever require a adapter to connect to a 5ghz router.
What's the intel wireless card used in DV6T QE laptops?
