    Whats Special About DV6500 special edition? vs. IBM t61

    1. Apart from the color is it different in other ways?
    2. does it have gigabit ethernet ?
    3. how is it better than the t61?

    1. The dv6500 Special Edition is just a regular old dv6500, but with a different color scheme.
    2. It should have Gigabit Ethernet, since it's based on a brand new chipset. Even my dv6233 Special Edition with a GeForce Go 6150/MCP 430 (nForce 4 based) Turion X2 system has it.
    3. I can't really answer this one because i've never even seen a T61 in real life, but I assume that the T61 would have better build quality since it is a business-ish laptop while the dv6500 is a consumer PC. Again, I can't be sure on this one.

    Surprisingly it does not have Gigabit ethernet. Just the regular 10/100.

    It might be cheaper than the T61 but other than that build quality wise the T61 would be better. If you are looking for something similar to the T61 then take a look at the HP Compaq business series 8510p/w.

    its bizzare.no gigabit ethernet. i was hoping the SE wouldhave it. doesnt look like it.

    does anyone have a point of view on speakers and graphics card versus that in t61?
