    AMD Athlon(TM) 64 X2 Dual-Core Mobile Technology TK-57 (1.9 GHz, 512KB L2 Cache)

    VS

    AMD Turion 64 X2 Dual Core TL-50 1.60 GHz? I don't know the L2 Cache.

I was planning on playing CS:S and from what I read, my gfx card+ram will suffice.

But what about the processor. College student here and im trying to save as much money as I can.

The TK - 57 wil definately be faster. The mobile A64 X2's are nothing more than re-branded Turions. They usually have 512K L2 cache(total) vs the 1MB(total) for most Turions(the TL-50 is the exception, has the same 512K as the A64 X2) and lack AMD-v virtualization.
