As I am so obsessed with subnotebooks, I was interested in the EEE since it came out and all of its competitors that have come out since.
The 2133 is actually my most favorite "netbook" because of its high res screen (1280x768 in 8.9" vs 1024x600 in the competition) and Expresscard slot for instance. I don't even mind paying extra and in fact, want more higher end netbooks on the marketplace.
The only thing I have against it (just about a dealbreaker), is it using Via processors and chipsets, which everyone tells me in the 2133 gives very poor performance and gets very hot as well. Not good at all.
I hear that HP would consider refreshing the machine and a family friend who works at HP hinted at a version of the Mini-Note being released for consumers.
I really love the form factor, just dislike the "engine".
Anyone know of future 2133 models to come out? It looks like HP nailed a contract with Via and they will stick with them and probably refresh this in the Fall with the new Nano processors?

That they would use the Nano CPU instead of Intel Atom would be a natural step as they don't have to change the design at all and just replace the VIA C7 with a Nano.
I want to buy this Mini-Note but not with a VIA C7. If comes with a Nano CPU, then I will buy it.
Whats in store for the 2133 Mini-Note?
