Hey all,
Just wondering if this is an inherent feature of the integrated graphics. I have the DV6565 with the integrated Intel graphics chipset (x3100?). Anyway, anytime I open a video file, regardless of player, the entire Vista theme changes from AERO to the crappier one.
The only time that this doesnt occur is when I use QuickPlay.
Is this normal?
Thanks!

That seems really odd, since the x3100 really isn't that weak of a card, it would easily handle that.
I'd try uninstalling and then reinstalling the latest video drivers.
Is it doing that with any particular file type?

This is the way this works. HPIT told me this is so all CPU clocks or power goes into Video playback. So you don't have skipping video or dropped sound
Oh it also changes when you start MyDVD and a little window pops up telling you why.
But it doesn't do it when I run the Slingbox TV software.
It's very cool to watch all your open windows fly by with the TV playing in one of them. -
Thanks for the info!
