When do you guys think that HP would upgrade the DV7Tqe?

i recently purchased DV7Tqe and it came as a defective..

(battery not snapping in, i assume the whole structure of the laptop kinda messed up because there was a quite large crack in outer surface of the laptop)

however, i could use it for a day and i really liked other aspects of the laptop and think it has a great spec for the price range.
so i exchanged instead of returning it.

right now i am thinking about purchasing another DV7Tqe for my brother.

my question is, do you guys think that hp would upgrade the current DV7Tqe model anytime soon?

i mean if it gets upgraded and specs get better by early next year i think its worth the wait. so i wanted to ask you guys.

any ideas would be taken appreciately! thank you

 

January/February perhaps. But only internally, spec-wise. CPU/GPU and storage options.

So if you can get a good deal between now and mid-December, you might want to consider jumping on it.

Late Spring would likely be the time for a model lineup update.

 

If last year is anything to go by, then it would be announced around January-February and would be available around March/April or so.

I just ordered a dv7 yesterday, but I've been waiting for months already and I couldn't wait any longer The only thing I could want more would be a backlit keyboard, really, more than anything.
