    Hi All, I ordered dv6500T last tue sept 11 and I chose the 2 days shipping. the estimated ship date is Sept 20. Mostly likely when should I expect it to be delivered in front of my door? What were your experiences when it comes to HP shipping schedules?

    cheers!

    Sept. 20 + 2 days = Sept. 22
    Sept. 22 = Saturday
    Saturday --> nearest weekday = Monday
    Monday = Sept. 24

    vvatclor, the notebook will most likely be shipped BEFORE your est. date, about 2 days most likely, so you should receive your laptop on the 20th or latest 21st.

    Yeah, HP's estimated shipping date is usually the worst case scenario.

    When I ordered mine, I ordered it using regular (free) shipping, it was shipped from china on the 9/11/07, and they delivered it 9/12/07 at 1030 am. So there's no need to pay for the expedited shipping.

    Where you able to avail the 30% off too?? Luckily when I placed my order on the 10th of Sept, It was declined, the next day I check the status, I re-order it via phone, I told the HP rep that to put the same specs and I also mentiond to him that I used a coupon but I didn't know then that there was 30% off, so the HP rep entered this 30% coupon for me.

    It takes a day or 2 for the fedex tracking site to update after the item has shipped. Be patient, you should see pretty good real time updates after the shipment enters the US.

    Nice, yea i got to use the 30% off code also that what made it sweat my laptop was for 1,332 w/out tax and with the coupon code it went down to $933. It was sweat because of the 2.4Ghz and 2gig of ram, u wouldn't be even able to find that anywhere in retail. I also got a 2yr warrenty, thought i might need it since i will be carrying it around alot.

    Yeah, but it's "In Transit" from China. I was hoping to get it by today (because the notebook was shipped supposedly on Monday since I received an email stating that it was shipped), but it looks like Friday for me, which sucks because I wanted to have my computer cleaned of bloatware before I moved in to my dorm... :(

    Mine to, it scheduled to be delivered on sept 24, w/c by that time the person who'll bring it for me is already here in the philippines. :( You think can I ask HP for a return of the cost I paid for the 2 days shipping? If they really have delay in their shipping and since I avail their 2 days shipping, can I ask for a return of the cost I've paid with them??

    Apparently, there was a typhoon in China so all shipments were delayed... Otherwise, my notebook would've been here today... :(

    Edit: Yes, I think they'll refund total amount you paid for and return mailing will be free. They'll send you labels and directions on how to return it.

    I hoped it get delayed totally so I can refund at least the 2 days shipping I've paid. They said it will be delivered on Monday 10:30am.

    If I where to ask someone to ship my laptop from Tennessee to Chicago once I get it on Monday, how safe it is via FedEx ground shipping? I know someone from Chicago that will be going home here in my home country that is willing to bring my laptop.. Do i need to get insurance from FedEx for the shipment of my laptop? Should I get their "Direct Signature Required" service? hope to hear your suggestions.

    Thanks
