There has not been a new notebook in four months. They use to change about every three months.
-
Umm, they just released updated notebooks with Vista? They seem to have refreshed a large chunk of their product line.
-
I guess we can expect new models when new pieces of hardware become available (*cough*Santa Rosa *cough*)and justify the cost of new-model introduction

The new HP tx1000 is supposed to be coming out at the end of February. See this review:

They should come out late Q2 when Santa Rosa comes out -
I certainly hope they also refresh their graphics cards.
dv2000t - Geforce 7400
dv6000t - Geforce 7600/7700
dv9000t - Geforce 7900 -
-
That all depends on when the Go 8000 series cards are coming out. Estimates are during the summer, which is after Santa Rosa launches.
Hopefully they don't upgrade their graphics card line to something lame like they have in their current computers. Their 17" flagship desktop replacement only has a Geforce 7600 -
zadillo: Same PC, new OS. That doesn't count
This summer? Bleh. I'd rather have it now, but I won't buy old crap just to satisfy my needs. I want the new line of integrated, I don't care about discrete performance, just integrated. ANd the integrateds now stink -
You mean the Intel GMA X3000 integrated graphics? Performance-wise I don't know that they're supposed to be all that much better than GMA950 (someone could probably verify this; I've already seen some Gateway desktops at bestBuy that had GMA X3000 in them). If you're looking for better performance I don't see a way to not avoid discreet graphics.
-
Nah, not the GMA X3000. More along the lines of the ATI 1250. Or I imagine something that could possibly be named Geforce Go 7150ish (to replace the 6150). I know Nvidia has a new chipset out but it doesn't have a name last time I checked.
And when I mean better performance, I mean something along the lines of a Radeon 9600 or so, which isn't asking for a ton in 2007. -
I'm not sure HP will manage to fit a high end DX10 into their current DV9000t. The notebooks quite thin, and trying to get something like a Go 8800 in their in there will be difficult, particularly, with the heat it may produce. HP probably doesn't want to go for a Go 8800 in the DV9000t, as they know its not a great idea. What they may do, is simply settle on something like a Go 8600, which should be quite powerful.
Anyway, I quite like the current range of HP notebooks. Yes, they may be a little weak interms of graphics, but they are built quite well, and have quite good prices. -
When will HP come out with new notebooks
