Never would be the answer...does Sony have a gaming notebook?

If you want something that is half decent with games from HP...look at their business line :) HP 8710w/p

It's won't be called Pavilion anyway, these are "multimedia" notebooks.

Otherwise, their "gaming" notebooks are called VoodooPC, which I would avoid... :p

Also, their business 17" notebooks have the 8700M GT (named Quadro) anyway...

I had posted a thread...that what market is HP targeting? they are just flooding the market with all average notebooks & one ridicuously expensive...they are not branding...they are just launching notebooks with same basic looks but different configuration (although graphic options just suck for all HP notebooks)

HP doesn't do gaming, period. It's a shock they even released the Blackbird desktop. Although it's just components picked off a shelf and put into their own case design..

If you want a HP gaming notebook look at Voodoo, that is..If you want to pay $1200 just for the paint job on the notebook. HP's only target is mainstream consumers, reason they don't target the gamers or enthusiasts, is because they know Dell and Alienware would simply destroy them, because they've been in that crowed for a long time now. It'd be to much competition.

    EDIT:
Jesus a lot fo posts before I finished,

HP don't even make the Voodoo PC's.. Their just rebranded Sager and Celvo laptops. You can probably pick up a maxed out $8000 Voodoo, from the original manufacture for like $2300.. LMFAO..

HP has business line, which game quite well. Peroid.

Sager don't make notebooks as well, they are just rebranded Clevos, Compals...
