    I thought HP would release a new product before x-mas... but somewhere on this board someone said it was going to be Jan or Feb....

    that sucks, i wonder why so late though.... their not updating much from their 9500 line, no wuxga display, no better video card

    Seeing as how the dv9500 launched in May for Intel & August for AMD, I'd be surprised to see refreshed models so soon (aside from the Verve)........

    I know retailer numbering is different, but Office Depot is selling a dv9650us.

    Yeah, that one looks like a pre-configured dv9500t. I noticed a boatload of them on HP's driver site, but no CTOs......

    I'm pretty sure HP isn't coming out with a 9600 series. The announcement about the 2/6/9600's were international, meaning a possibility for CTO's other than the USA. The 2/6/9500's are the same as the 2/6/9600's, just a different market.

    I thought the 9600 included networking at 10/100/1000 instead of the 9500's networking at 10/100?

    To be honest, I wouldn't consider gigabit ethernet to qualify for a whole new lineup of computers.
