I am almost certainly going to buy the new HP DV2500t when I visit the US in early August, but I wanted to know if anyone could recommend a shop in New York, which would stock different configurations.

I want to buy the standard model with a few extras: Vista premium, 2GB RAM, Fingerprint reader and Webcam, 120 GB hard drive and the Lightscribe DVD+/-RW.

Is it possible to use coupons in shops or do you have to use them online?

    Thanks

You can only use coupons from HP at hpshopping.com, any large electronics retailer will have premade models such as Bestbuy or Circut City ect.

It seems most either buy their HP from the HP store, or from www.costco.com
Go on that site and you can pre-configure the laptop the way you want. If your friends in the states have a Costco card, they get the price you see on the screen plus taxes. Otherwise Costco adds 5% for non members.

Costco, Circuit City and Best buy are the best place to purchase and no you can't use coupons. If you check in the Sunday papers you will be able to see what deals they have.
