Do they build these laptops in a factory somewhere in the mid US?

Ordered my HDX16 yesterday and was curious as to where it will be shipped from?

All laptops in the world are built in China, with the exception of Acer, and Asus as those are Taiwanese companies and Taiwan being an enemy of China. Yes, HPs ship from Shanghai.

Even Asus and Acer are built in China. There are only 2 brands I know of which have additional factories assembling notebooks outside China, and that is HP (Czech and Singapore) and Dell (Malaysia and Ireland).
