    Where to buy DV2000t repalcement battery?

    Seems HP moved the battery connector from the side of the dv1000 batteries more towards the middle on the dv2000 batteries. I can't seem to find any places that sell dv2000t batteries (other than HP). Anyone have any success?

    You may be out of luck looking anywhere except eBay or some similar online auction houses. The DV2000T is still new enough that it could very well be that the aftermarket battery business has yet to catch up to it.

    NO, all is fantastic. Really great laptop. I ordered the 12 cell, but I'd like to pick up a 6 cell as well. Looks like I'm either at HP's mercy or wait.

    I'm in the reverse situation. Had a dv1000t with the 12 cell, and loved it. I then returned my dv1000t to get the dv2000t, and found the dv2000t at Fry's It had everything I wanted (bluetooth, 120gb drive, lightscribe, remote) except the 12 cell battery!

    I'd like to get a 12 cell battery, but $180????

    I don't think so....

    I'd guess in a few months, other companies will be selling the replacement batteries for the dv2000's on eBay.

    It kinda looks like that. I mean, the Dv1000 and DV2000 batteries look exactly the same, except for the connector. Maybe it has to do with how the components are laid out inside the case, not sure. But a good way to bilk the consumer out of $129. Other than that, it's a super laptop.

    why not jump in with someone buying a new 2000t and paypal them the option price of the battery...of course if you wanted the 6 cell, the person buying would have to buy the 6 cell for their 2000t, but you get my point.
