    Hello,
Right now I am on stock drivers for the 6770m...

If I go to device manager, it lists the driver as 8.850.6.0 from May for 6700 series. If I press the "update driver" button, it installs a driver from march (which is actually earlier than the stock one) and then lables the card as the proper 6770m. On top of that, windows update has a driver from april for the 6770m. Which driver do I want? They all appear to work with integrated graphics.

8.850.6.0 is the latest one( excluding 11.6 beta)...... so just leave it as it is......

When I first got my DV7, I accidentally installed 8.830.6.2000 from April, via Windows Update. I know 8.850.6.0 is the 11.5b hotfix, but now BeaverRat says that his stock drivers were the same? Has anyone tried to reinstall the drivers from SwSetup and confirm what they are?

After updating today I have this 8.830.6.2000
If this is bad can I go back? The ati graphics icon in the lower right corner of the system tray only lists the #1.integrated graphics not the 6770 even though the device manager lists 1 and 2.radeon 6770

I received my DV6 three or four days ago and was going to tough it out with the stock drivers until I started having problems while gaming (ex - Portal 2 crashed twice). I then went with the Microsoft Update from April and have been fine since (ex - Starcraft 2 frames went up, Portal 2 runs). The dynamic switching still "works" and my games run like I hoped they would run.

You wouldn't happen to have FSX loaded up, would you? I'm waiting to see if anyone can get FSX to work with the abomination known as "switchable (i use the term loosely) graphics".

    Sorry, I don't have FSX.

I will say that the Portal 2 crashes were pretty annoying though and would happen while configuring the graphics settings, not while playing the game.
