Has anybody bought a car adapter to power up their DV8000t laptops in the car? I am looking to buy probably the generic brands that come with various tips which plugs into the power source of your laptop. Anyone know the brand and model that works with a DV8000t?

Also, I was looking over some electronics stores and noticed that they also sold power inverters which basically has a cigarette lighter plug at one end and then a place where you can plug in your laptop (just like how you would at home by plugging into the wall outlet) at the other end. Do these provide good power coming from a car battery and are they safe for laptops?

    Thank you very much!

I got one a pepboys for a trip and it worked great... I just got one that supported 300W. I think it cost like $45.00-$55.00 they have 150W and 200W versions... but I wanted to be sure it was powerful enough to provide a charge.

They are very safe for laptops, I have used mine 6 or 7 times to watch movies or whatever while on a road trip. I will check the brand and make tonight.
